About us
> Our Mission
Transform fingerboarding from a skill toy to a powerful tool.
Over the past 10 years we have worked to entirely rethink how a simple toy can be a foundational tool for an endless amount of personal development. We facilitate this potential by teaching technical and creative skills, hosting workshops and events, and providing educational resources for children to grow educationally and creatively. While it all starts with a fingerboard… It’s more than fingerboards!
> Our Vision
To see the youth of today equipped with the skills and creativity to build a better tomorrow.
TrapDecks Fingerboards is dedicated to enriching youth lives by teaching life long skills through educational programs related to fingerboarding and the arts. With the right tools and mindset, we believe fingerboarding can be used to empower the youth experience into realms of art, photo/video, engineering, building, technology, and play.

Behind TrapDecks
TrapDecks Fingerboards was established in 2012 by me and my high school bestfriend, Matt Gruhn.
Over the past 10 years I have worked hard to create an organization youth of the past could have only dreamed about.
It is my mission to educate the next generation through arts and culture.
Some of my other involvement includes:Â
- Leading screen printing workshops for CPS Staff and Students at Richards Career Academy.
- Volunteer skateboard instructor at NattyBwoy Skateboards.
- Skateboard Instructor at Little Ripper Skateboarding.

Picking up a fingerboard changed my life. Fingerboarding is unquestionably the reason & foundation behind a majority of my professional skills.
